You might have blocked that three-month buffer to custom order your bridal lehenga or perfectly dapper sherwani, but what about the in-between functions that are also a crucial part of any wedding affair today? Luckily, a slew of your favourite bridal designers’ prêt lines are not just great last-minute finds but are perfectly fashion-forward. Add to that, they’re more accessible but equally covetable and you’re sure to add these to your bridal wishlist.

Gulabo by Aby Jani Sandeep Khosla

The prêt line’s latest drops include the Disco Diva collection and the Ikat Appliqué line. The former includes three-piece sets, saris, and kurtas in shades that echo the night sky—think midnight black, deep teal, or maroon, all edged with sequins for that touch of starry shine. The latter includes kurtas with salwars, saris, and more in pop bright colours making it perfect for a haldi function at home.

Am.It by Amit Aggarwal

Who says you can’t have technical innovation with your ready-to-wear. At Lakmé Fashion Week last month, Aggarwal showcased some of his now-signature work combining Benaras brocade with handwoven polymer fabrics, but instead of lehengas he did it with shirts, corsets, wide-leg culottes, and the now classic Am.It kimono-like tops and slinky gowns.

Gaurav Gupta

Sculpted mini dresses, going-out tops, and slim, column gowns make up Gupta’s more approachable line. While his iconic, museum-worthy pieces are perfect for receptions and sangeet nights, we’ve curated some looks below that are more suited for daytime events like a poolside brunch, a court wedding, or an impromptu engagement party.

Manish Malhotra

Got a wedding to plan but only 30 days to build your wardrobe? Get some of that Manish Malhotra glamour but without the waiting time. Think kurtas covered in sequins, ombre dyed tunics, sequinned co-ord sets, and intricate net saris with all-over embroidery. Choose one for your signing at the court or for a last-minute family dinner.

Monisha Jaising

You’ve already ordered an opulent Monisha Jaising lehenga for your reception, but with only a few days left to go, what about the after party? Luckily the designer has a range of shimmery, party-ready cocktail dresses and equally slinky shararas that fit the bill.

Payal Singhal

Planning a breezy, beachside affair? That means you need something lightweight, but also dressy enough for the bride, which is where one of Payal Singhal’s mehendi-ready lehengas come to play. They come covered in embroideries or decorated with tassels and applique work and the playful cholis in particular will ensure you stand out from the crowd.

AFEW Rahul Mishra

Think flowers for spring but in many, many forms. For spring/summer 2025, Mishra sent out a ready-to-wear line that was an homage to the blossom. You’ll look fresh as a spring daisy at your welcome brunch in one of his silk dresses covered in printed and embroidered blooms or pristine white net skirts and shirts accented with giant, multicoloured flowers.

Ritu Kumar

While her prêt line Ritu Kumar has plenty for when you’re travelling to your dream holiday destination—think printed dresses, kaftans, and breezy co-ord sets—we were leaning more towards the more accessible options from her bridal line Ri by Ritu Kumar. A quick scroll through the site reveals straight-cut kurtas, saris, maxi dresses and more that celebrate the brand’s appreciation for craft. Think painterly paisleys or the Tree of Life motif in earthy tones of ochre, rust, burgundy.

Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna

This one is for the boys. Looking for a statement shirt? Perhaps you’ve forgotten to get something for the final after party? The designer’s duo’s deft hand with tailoring and their eye for details—pintucks, abstract prints, accents like double zippers or embroidered pockets—make them the go-to for stylish men everywhere.

Rahi by Rimple and Harpreet

For a touch of old-school glamour, look to the brand’s elegant sharara and kurta sets. In rich jewel tones and with rich, metallic mordi embroidery inspired by the motifs on Mughal miniature paintings, Rimple and Harpreet Narula’s vintage-inspired designs are an homage to a time a time gone by.

S&N by Shantnu Nikhil

At the recent Lakmé Fashion Week, the designer duo celebrated five years of their prêt label with a collection titled Piazza Nova. A fusion of heritage Indian tailoring with Italian sophistication, there were bandhgalas styled with shirts and ties, waistcoats, houndstooth printed kurtas, and even suit sets for women complete with power-shouldered blazers. So even if you’re not taking your wedding guests to Como, you can bring a bit of that sleek Italian style into your wardrobe.
