We’re deep in the throes of fashion week season, which means weekends are officially over and my screen time is at an all-time high of eight hours a day. The most recent shows, in particular, reminded us why London is the most creatively charged city on the calendar. The season kicked off with Harris Reed, where the models stepped out in baroque caged gowns that made them look like exotic birds of paradise. At Erdem too there was plenty of feminine glamour with panniered minidresses and satin trench coats. Meanwhile, the beauty game was strong at Chopova Lowena and Simone Rocha; the former sent out cheerleaders with braided and pom-pom-dotted hair, bejewelled brows, and babydoll lashes, while at Simone Rocha makeup artist Thomas de Kluyver added sparkling headbands and stamped his models’ lips with the phrase ‘Sweet Dream’. Sunday evening ended on a high note with Harri KS and Dilara Findikoglu. The latter brought her signature gothic glamour—think corseted tops, frayed lace dresses, and straitjacketed skirts. It was feminine energy in an array of forms. Whether you’re a punk girl, a babydoll, a diva or a goth queen, for spring/summer 2026 there was something for everyone.
