Is your Instagram feed a sea of blue and orange too? The New York Knicks just won their first NBA championship in 53 years, and fans suspect it’s got a lot to do with a small but mighty bag. Jordyn Woods, the LA-based socialite and former Kylie Jenner bestie who is engaged to Knicks player Karl-Anthony Towns, brought an orange faux-ostrich leather clutch to every playoff game this post-season. The only time she didn’t bring it to Madison Square Garden (because there was a strict no-bag policy on the day) the Knicks lost. The lucky talisman is the Tux Mini Clutch from her own brand, Woods by Jordyn, and is now available for pre-order on the brand’s website for $125, so you’ll get it by September should you decide to place an order and see if it works for you. Also in attendance was Timothée Chalamet in a vintage Knicks tee that was gifted to him by vintage sourcer Springy last year. “Could vintage have been the Knicks good luck charm this post season?” they wrote in their IG caption. It was something old, something blue.
Earlier last week, Taylor Swift and Alana and Este Haim also made headlines wearing pun-emblazoned tees—“Stevie Knicks”, “Knickelback”, and “Knickole Kidman”, respectively, all made by Alana herself—to a game. They even had a spare to give to Mariska Hartigay, who changed into it mid-game. Very cute!
Below, things to read on The Nod as you dig up your own lucky charm to wear while watching the FIFA world cup.
