Meghna Kaur is dressing for her own Bollywood montage

Equal parts romantic, playful and filmy, this content creator’s wedding wardrobe is designed for dancefloor dominance

Meghna Kaur aka @shetroublemaker, doesn’t just RSVP to weddings—she enters every venue like it’s a three-act film and she’s the final reveal. If you’ve ever scrolled through her Instagram (or been lucky enough to catch her twirling IRL), you’ll know exactly what we mean.

From temple bells in Jaipur to cocktail hours in Bangkok, her wedding guest wardrobe has range. One moment it’s bold, bright, and unapologetically OTT with half the baraat asking for her outfit details. The next? It’s soft, swoony, and just the right amount of whimsical. But no matter the outfit, there’s a signature thread running through: dance-first dressing, dress-code respect, and the kind of drama that never feels try-hard.

In this edition of Wedding Hopper Diaries, the Mumbai-based creator lets us in on her favourite looks, secret clutch snacks, and why safety pins are the unsung heroes of wedding season.

Wed count: “Three weddings this year—Jaipur, Bangkok, and Mumbai.”

Wedding guest style: “A little bit filmy, a little bit free spirited. I love outfits that let me dance and feel pretty.”

Destination wedding hack: “Dress for the vibe, but also for the weather, no one wants to melt at a beach sundowner. Light fabrics save lives. Always pack a backup (because outfit mishaps are real) and never forget safety pins, they’ve literally saved my life more than once.”

Favourite designers: “Falguni Shane Peacock for the drama. Surbhi Chopra for her dreamy, feminine fits. Papa Don’t Preach when I’m feeling playful.”

Favourite wedding looks:

Look 1: “The Mehendi look—light, effortless, and made me feel so on theme without even trying.”

Look 2: “The hot pink lehenga . I  felt like a walking celebration—bold, unapologetic, and exactly how I want to show up.”

Look 3: “The icy blue number — soft, romantic, and had me feeling like I walked out of a modern fairytale. (And yes, always follow the dress code,  it’s way more fun when you’re part of the theme.)”

Won’t leave home without: “My mini perfume, lip gloss, and my G7x.”

In my clutch: “Lip tint, mints, and a secret snack.”

Wedding dressing ick: “I love picking the looks. I hate deciding between what jewellery to wear which takes me no less than 45 minutes.”

Wedding styling advice: “When in doubt, go monochrome with a bold eye or lip (never both)—and dance friendly shoes.”

Next wedding destination: “Next stop: Udaipur. And the outfit’s still a secret!”
