For Vaidya, design often begins not with a rigid sketch, but with the stone itself. A trained bench jeweller he speaks of “romancing” gemstones and allowing their natural character to guide the final piece.

He adds, “At Rose, our role is never to overpower its beauty, but to honour its individuality through design, allowing every stone to reveal its fullest expression.” It explains why Rose’s jewels feel less assembled and more discovered, as though each necklace, ring or pair of earrings was simply waiting inside the gem for the house’s artisans to reveal it.
