I really thought last week’s Project Hail Mary takeover was the peak of my space obsession, but no. This week, my entire feed has been NASA Artemis II. It’s either me aggressively zooming into rocket and boom photos like I’m part of mission control, or watching Reels that have no business being that emotional. Case in point: the crew naming a lunar crater Carroll after commander Reid Wiseman’s late wife. I did not expect to be quietly sobbing over a moon crater, and yet.

Naturally, this sent me spiralling back into Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid, because what is a space headline if not an excuse to revisit fictional astronauts with emotional baggage? I had picked it up again while finishing Heart the Lover, which, by the way, is longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction 2026 and absolutely wrecked me in the best way. It’s tender, precise, and the kind of book you want to press into someone’s hands over the weekend and say “trust me”. If you want to kick off your Book Girl Summer, start here.

Meanwhile, another thing that seems to be everywhere other than space is Zendaya. Between Euphoria being back (what is up with that aggressively ugly poster?) and The Drama taking over timelines, there is simply no escape. Honestly, the only thing worse than being this oversaturated with Zendaya right now is the fact that I will never be able to listen to Haim in peace again. That part of my life is over. If you know, you know. If you don’t, and you’re fine with spoilers, read up on Chloe Chou’s unfiltered thoughts on The Drama.
