If wedding planning is a feat of logistics and Pinterest boards, honeymoon dressing is its glamorous-but-must-look-effortless cousin. After all, it’s your first trip as newlyweds. The vibe needs to be a little glam, a little sexy, very real and entirely envy-inducing with each look fit for the gram. And no one nails this balance quite like celebrity stylist and the curator behind The Wedding Collective’s Honeymoon Edit, Naheed Driver. Her signature includes elevated separates, unexpected pairings, and a no-fuss approach to looking good.

To decode exactly what belongs in your suitcase and what doesn’t, Driver shares the dos and don’ts of honeymoon dressing. From what you should be buying and wearing to how to style it out, here’s her cheat sheet for newlywed dressing. So why not serve a look or three?

Love in the vineyard

Flirt in sundresses and toast under the vines. If your honeymoon is veering vineyard chic, here’s your styling mantra. “Build around one or two colour palettes so everything works together. Capsule dressing is your best friend—and it leaves space for local knick-knacks,” she advises. Studio Picante’s romantic midi dresses with palm tree accents, De Castro Moda’s Ikat print sundresses, and Redefine by RD’s effortless white dress with beads tick the box here. Add strappy flats or sculptural slides for easy vineyard strolls that don’t compromise on style.

In the mood for glam

Dinner for two, but make it glamorous! Corset tops, metallic minis, and champagne on speed dial—if OTT is your vibe, this is your playground. “A dramatic co-ord set, which Dhruv is known and loved for, or a flowy cut-out maxi-like dress that turns heads at golden hour; who’s a guaranteed hit—honeymoon or girls' night out,” says Driver.

Think Dhruv Kapoor’s flared lace trousers and baggy tie-up shirts, or co-ord sets and sculptural corset tops from Tara & I. Or Urvashi Kaur's metallic bronze co-cord set, pair these with minimal accessories and bold lips for impact. And when you’re hopping from dinner to drinks, keep your essentials in a sleek TUMI crossbody or belt bag. “I personally love them; they age so well, just like your honeymoon glow,” she adds.

Feeling beachy

Driver swears by versatile slips and sarongs that go from beach to bar in seconds. “Couples are skipping the usual and heading to Zanzibar, Sri Lanka, Puglia, and Seychelles—all perfect for chic resort looks and soft-focus sunsets. Think sun and sand,” she shares. Add Arti Vijay Gupta’s lightweight printed sarongs for easy layering and Studio Verandha’s relaxed maxi skirts for low-effort styling that still looks put-together.

Nipa’s fluid printed skirts & tops bring a breezy elegance to sunset cocktails by the shore. For tropical destinations where the sun never sets, fabric choices are everything. “Linen, cotton, and silk-blend pieces in loose silhouettes—halters, open backs, wide legs, off-shoulder. Breezy, never clingy. Remember, less is more always,” she says. Her minimal-but-statement recommendation?

Bonus: honeymoon packing tips!

The cardinal sin of honeymoon packing? Overpacking with outfits you wouldn’t wear IRL.

You’ll repeat your faves—and that’s a good thing, don’t overthink it. Bring what feels like you—just more relaxed. If it’s comfy, makes you feel good, and won’t just sit in your bag, it’s in. Now go enjoy your honeymoon x

Honeymoons aren’t about debuting impractical fits; they’re about feeling your best in pieces that make sense for your life back home, too. Which brings us to post-honeymoon re-styling. “Your denim number from Redefine becomes city chic with sneakers. That vibrant Verandah maxi? It is the perfect brunch outfit. Another beach favourite of mine currently is Nipa’s super cute maxi skirt and top, which eases so effortlessly into my daily city life,” she shares. The ultimate packing win? Clothes that extend the honeymoon high long after your tan fades. Are you ready to curate your own honeymoon edit IRL? Your packing list is here; all that’s missing is your RSVP.
