This weekend’s agenda? Escaping the heatwave through the holy trinity of binge-worthy television, comfort food, and a little bit of culture.

First up on my watchlist is season two of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, which brings back Emma Myers as the endlessly determined Pip Fitz-Amobi. This time, the series adapts Holly Jackson’s Good Girl, Bad Blood, with Pip getting pulled into yet another mystery after a key witness suddenly disappears. The first season had me fully convinced I could solve crimes from my couch, so naturally I’m ready to do it all over again. Once I’ve had my fill of teenage detectives and suspicious small-town secrets, I will switch gears with The Four Seasons. After last season’s heartbreaking finale, the friend group returns for more vacations, emotional chaos, unresolved romantic tension, and now, apparently, a baby.

I’ll probably end the weekend at the newly launched Olive Garden in Delhi, finally seeing whether those endlessly hyped breadsticks are actually worth it, but not before stopping by Method for Slow Rot, an 18+ group exhibition featuring 10 contemporary artists exploring anxiety, trauma, and the grotesque through deeply raw, unconventional works. A little unsettling art before pasta just feels like the right balance.
