About: A recently divorced novelist travels to Athens to teach a summer writing course. As she meets fellow writers, students, friends, and strangers, they tell her intimate stories about marriage, ambition, creativity, failure, and loss. Though the narrator says very little about herself, these conversations gradually reveal the contours of her own life. Told almost entirely through dialogue, Outline is a quietly radical novel about identity, storytelling, and the ways we understand ourselves through the lives of others.
