We are never letting go of the day-jama

Wearing flannel pants to Starbucks? Fine. Hosting a dinner in satin loungewear? Power move

Once dismissed as something you’d only wear around your family or, in desperate times, to a 24-hour convenience store, pyjamas have emerged as the sartorial heroes of our chaotic lives. Don’t believe us? WGSN’s top fashion trend for 2025 is day-jamas—an elevated take on whatever you’ve been sleeping in.

But of course, not all pyjamas are equal. If you’re still wearing an old band T-shirt with mismatched pants to bed, we’re here to convince you there’s no greater feeling than slipping into a matching set. Putting on a coordinated set of PJs isn’t just about comfort; it’s an indicator of having your life together.

The best part? Some of these pyjamas are versatile enough to be worn outside if your desire to wear real clothes is at an all-time low. While we can’t all be Jenna Lyons in a rhinestone mesh pyjama set at the Met Gala, there are a few more accessible options. There’s Antwerp-based Bernadette’s luxurious set in silk crêpe de chine that would look fabulous paired with heels and chunky jewellery. Want something comfortable you can wear to brunch? There’s Sleeplove’s stripe and bow set. All you need is a pair of sunglasses and a handbag. Your favourite shirt and shorts combo also gets a shakeup with a little help from some basic styling essentials. Layer the shirt over a white tank, throw on your favourite ballet flats or sneakers, et voilà!

Below, see our edit of pyjama sets that you can wear on your couch all weekend long and when you’re out and about.
