Bottega Veneta already makes handbags people refuse to put on the floor and fragrances that sit atop their own marble plinths. Now, it’s making a game set no one will dare to play with.
Last week, the Italian brand quietly added a Jenga game to its Art of Living section on its website. The set includes 54 wooden blocks carved from mixed Italian walnut and stabilised coloured wood. From afar, the coloured pieces literally look like they’ve been sculpted out of marble. Each tile is engraved with the Bottega Veneta and Jenga logos, and the tower is nestled inside a supple red Intreccio calf leather case—the house’s recognisable lattice of handwoven strips of leather.
To be clear, Bottega isn’t hoping this set becomes part of your next chaotic game night. On the website, the brand explicitly states that the product is “not intended for use by children”. In other words: this is a collector’s item, not something you let your cousin’s kid topple after dessert.
