You’ve picked your lehenga, your maang tikka, your guest list, your centrepieces, even the motif on your bridal manicure—now comes the life-after-the-wedding-week part: your home! Choosing pieces for your home isn’t always easy for newly weds, especially in the midst of the chaos of wedding planning. It’s about striking the right balance between yours and theirs, too much and too little, personality and practicality, form and function, and the list goes on and on. So to help you nail your newly wed home aesthetic, interior stylist Janavi Javeri has curated a very special Home Edit for The Wedding Collective. Bonus: For serial wedding hopper,s this is where you will find wedding gifts for every type of couple.

Javeri’s edit expands your wedding trousseau from the wardrobe to your home—whether you’re designing your first home you will live in together, or looking for the perfect way to earn that favourite cousin title by gifting them that perfect something for their home, there’s something for every style. Be it a cosy city apartment or lush vacation home, earthy textures or statement finds, Javeri has you covered. “I saw a gap in the market where I felt that interiors were built but never felt complete. I felt they lacked the right elements to make them feel complete,” she says. “Without the right carpet, cushions, coffee table, sculptures, planters, and other accessories, the space doesn't really feel alive”. Translation: That sconce or wabi sabi sculpture you buy or gift can help transform a space into a real home!

For The Wedding Collective’s Home Edit, Javeri scoured the country to hand-pick the best, covering everything from art and carpets to sofas and bedding. Her secret to a great curation and a beautifully designed home: “Layer to make your space feel complete.” The Home Edit includes homegrown brands and unique home decor that stands out even as they serve a functional purpose.
