Who can drop a hot-selling sweater collection at the start of summer? Only a true maverick like Sabyasachi. The designer’s latest ‘Spot the Tiger’ collection features bags, of course, but also cashmere sweaters in delicious colours like strawberry gelato, lemon soda and bubblegum blue, all, emblazoned with his instantly recognisable Bengal tiger logo. Because why wait till wedding season to own something so iconic? You can show take this snug cashmere sweater on a flight, on holiday to cooler climes, or even to work where the aircon is always on steroids.

In a genius marketing move, customers got a sneak peek at the new summer line exactly a month ago when cricketer Hardik Pandya was papped with girlfriend Mahieka Sharma at the airport, both twinning in their Sabya sweaters; him in black, her in rose pink. Actually, scratch that: the first hint of this collection came at the designer’s 25th anniversary celebrations last year in Mumbai, when Mukherjee took his final bow wearing a black sweater with the silhouette of the tiger splashed across the front. They were available for fall/winter 2025, but it’s the new range in sweet summer shades (there’s a total of 20 colourways now) that we’re truly lusting after.

If you’re looking to get your own you’ll have to wait a bit, the knits are only available in stores with a three-month waitlist. So go ahead and sign up, because who says you can’t look cool during a heatwave.

The ‘Spot the Tiger’ cashmere sweaters are available exclusively at Sabyasachi stores. Prices start at ₹79,500
