A room full of vintage ceramics at 47A Khotachiwadi
Trust a couple of vintage obsessives to put up a good show. Old is Gold, a design exhibition by Pranav Sood and Krisna Krishnankutty, the minds behind Beg Borrow Steal, is currently on view at Mumbai’s 47A Khotachiwadi. The show is an eclectic curation of rare finds from the duo’s travels: vintage jewellery from Chanel, Givenchy, Dior, and Schiaparelli, hand-patched Boro textiles from Japan, crafted curios from across Europe, Italian mosaic, dainty purses, and even sculptures from the Kerala Museum. The best part? The exhibition is shoppable. Cha-ching!—Chloe Chou

Haas Monster Incense Burner
L’objet has officially arrived in New Delhi, bringing its signature blend of serious craftsmanship and not-so-serious charm to The Chanakya. Founded by designer Elad Yifrach and brought to India in partnership with Samir Modi, the cult design and fragrance house is known for turning everyday objects into miniature works of art—think gilded tableware, sculptural home accents, and scents that are the opposite of ‘quiet luxury’ (ah, what a breath of fresh air!). At the top of our list has to be the Haas Monster Incense Burner, which is low-key giving sheep with a lip job...but in a boujee way? We’ll take ten, please.—Tanushree Vinod

There’s a new status shopper on our radar, and this one is all about being India-proud. The ‘I dream in India’ canvas tote by Art-Chives India is a whimsical, Instagrammable carry-on that we can’t get enough of. The brand was co-founded by Gaurav Bhatia, formerly of LVMH India and Sotheby’s, in 2021 and since then they’ve released numerous editions of the tote in an array of graphic prints, subtle embroideries, and pithy slogans, celebrating different states of India. The latest collection is dedicated to some of our favourite holiday hot-spots—beaches, mountains and jungles. Bhatia describes the tote as having “more frequent-flyer miles than we do” for the sheer number of people who have sent photos of their totes out in the wild. His favourite sighting? “[Author] Vikram Seth spotted with our India tote in Buenos Aires.” And what does Bhatia pack in his handy carryall? “I carry—or more like, it carries—my life. Laptop, lunch, shawl, gym wear, water. It’s the perfect weekender and travel tote. On holiday I have vintage travel books, my iPad, lots of sunscreen, chargers and a shawl. What lies within that pocket, now that’s zipped up!”—Butool Jamal

As a certified lip balm obsessive, I had to try the new Laneige Glaze Craze lip serum. It’s more of a glossy lip tint than a true balm, with a squishy doughnut-shaped applicator that’s weirdly addictive. The shades are all gorgeous, but Cinnamon Sugar is the winner (a subtle, spicy mauve that smells like a cosy daydream). Unfortunately, it’s sold out at the moment but keep your eyes peeled for a restock. Just a heads-up: if your lips are desert-level dry, you’ll want a real balm underneath—this one’s not doing the heavy lifting hydration-wise—but the colour payoff is lowkey insane.—Chloe Chou

Designer Kanika Goyal’s new collection is a collaboration with Disney but it’s not for the kids. Instead, Goyal has taken a distinctly grownup approach to Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy—there are silhouettes of Mickey’s ears magnified on office-ready blazers or chic knit dresses that offer glimpses of the cartoon characters’ faces tucked amongst a mashup of houndstooth, checks, and stripes. The 114-piece capsule collection includes plenty of KGL’s signature denim in the form of barrel-leg jeans, Gen Z-coveted corsets, and of course jackets ideal for those looking to just dip their toe into the Disney-verse.—Butool Jamal
