What to watch on OTT this weekend (August 24-31)

Directed by Jake Schreier, Thunderbolts* got a thumbs-up from the critics, so strap in and hit play.

Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, and Celia Imrie play four irrepressible retirees whose casual cold-case hobby turns real when a genuine whodunnit lands in their luxurious retirement village. Fans of Richard Osman’s beloved novel, assemble with your magnifying glasses to solve the age-old debate: is the movie better than the book? With this particular cast of brilliant actors, I daresay the answer can be both?

If you’re over the Belly-Jeremiah-Conrad triangle, watch season two of My Life with the Walter Boys. Nikki Rodriguez returns as Jackie Howard, the Manhattan transplant torn between Colorado ranch life and her old world, while Noah LaLonde and Ashby Gentry reprise their roles as the Walter brothers competing for her heart. It’s angsty teenage turmoil at its best, proving that sometimes the heart wants what it wants, even when it does not know what that is.
