Ekà comes home

Delhi might already have its Ekà flagship, but the new Ireo Grand View High Street store in Gurgaon is where things get personal. For designer Rina Singh and her husband Sandeep Dua, who’ve built and run the brand from Gurgaon since day one, this opening feels like finally claiming their own backyard. In this store designed with the help of Amoeba Design’s Satyajit and Pashmin, look out for the model village home, complete with life-size dolls in Ekà clothing, streamlined wood furniture, and those signature earth shades that make their clothes—and now their interiors—feel instantly lived-in. The brand’s fall/winter 2025 collection, inspired by Chamba embroidery, will debut here, giving regulars and first-timers a reason to linger. As a bonus there’s also the Rare collection, a jewellery line exclusive to Gurgaon.

Southbound with Sabyasachi

After Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and New York, Bengaluru now joins the list of cities with a Sabyasachi outpost. The new boutique at The Leela Palace Colonnade spans 3,800 sqft, houses clothing and accessories, and, speaking the brand’s signature visual language, resembles an ornate, aristocratic home: exquisite chandeliers, artworks by the Sabyasachi Art Foundation, printed wallpaper, and furniture that feels too precious to touch but is somehow still inviting. “Bengaluru, to me, is a city that has roots and wings. It has the traditional grounding of an Indian city and the restless ambition of a global tech hub. Unlike many other cities, Bengaluru does not carry the notion of entitlement,” he says. Trust Sabya to find poetry in urban planning.

Kalki Fashion takes over Kala Ghoda

Kalki Fashion’s new address in Kala Ghoda feels like an evolution for the brand that’s built a name for festive Indian wear that’s easy on the pocket but high on glamour. The new flagship is closer to the city’s cultural pulse and finally within reach for both the western-suburb regulars and the SoBo loyalists who prefer their lehengas and saris with a side of convenience. Housed in a restored 6,000 sqft heritage building, it keeps its old Bombay bones but layers them with clean lines, marble floors, muted greys, and enough shine to feel like home turf. The store also introduces an exclusive Kala Ghoda capsule, available only here—limited pieces inspired by the district’s arches, facades, and that unmistakable gallery energy.

Jade by Monica & Karishma brings Mumbai to the capital

Jade by Monica & Karishma has finally set up shop in the national capital, taking over a corner of Ambawatta One. The 10,000 sqft flagship offers a sari salon, a separate festive menswear area, and a bespoke corner for those looking to realise their custom lehenga designs. Designed around the brand’s philosophy of ‘Bombay Chic’, the space borrows from Mumbai’s Art Deco design heritage and marries it with the brand’s couture touch. Think geometric brass and wood accents, expansive murals, and coral and burgundy walls. Also making her first appearance in the space is the ‘Angel of Bombay’, the brand’s new sari-clad house motif that now anchors their prêt line.

After NYC, Anita Dongre finds a home in LA

Finally, the stars of Selling Sunset can add some Indianwear to their increasingly glamorous closets, because Anita Dongre just unveiled a new flagship store on Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills. True to Dongre’s roots, the store is an absolute love letter to Rajasthan’s heritage. Cue: an installation of an elephant matriarch and her calf that welcomes visitors at the entrance, colourful pichwai paintings, embroidered textiles, and handcrafted furniture throughout. Following the openings in Dubai and New York, the Los Angeles store now stands as a tribute to Indian luxury with a Beverly Hills twist.

Inside Krésha Bajaj’s Delhi dollhouse

The Krésha Bajaj experience got a whole lot closer to brides and fashion lovers in the NCR. The designer has opened doors to her first ever store in Delhi at DLF Emporio, and it’s every bit as chic as you’d imagine. With a seven-foot chandelier highlighting the soaring ceilings, a cosy seating area for your entourage to watch you try out looks, and miniature mannequins wearing doll-sized versions of the brand’s designs, the space feels both grand and intimate. Brides-to-be will find everything from exquisite lehengas for the pheras to elegant evening gowns for cocktail night bedecked in sequins, beadwork and more.
