What’s harder than seeing a giant red, angry eruption on your face is resisting the urge to pop it (yes, I’m the target audience of Dr Pimple Popper’s strangely satisfying videos). Before my fingers start fiddling, I slap on an acne patch to render the zit invisible. As they say, out of sight, out of mind. It also helps that these hydrocolloid patches suck all the gunk out and peeling it off your skin feels so therapeutic. I can actually see it doing its job, which scratches my itch of wanting some sort of immediate relief from my breakout.
If no one else, at least Redditors agree with me; there are endless threads making a passionate case for the most effective acne patches out there, and not just the cute, whimsical ones shaped like stars and whatnot.
