South Delhi has a new toy, and it is not another café with fairy lights. The Game Palacio, Mumbai’s glitzy gaming and nightlife brand, has opened at Ansal Plaza, South Extension, and it is basically the glow-up your childhood arcade always dreamed of.
Inside, it is wall-to-wall entertainment. On one end, you have the classics like PAC-MAN and Need for Speed, the stuff you used to queue up for with sweaty palms and a pocketful of coins. On the other, a line-up of VR blockbusters like Asphalt 9 VR and Space Coaster that feel like stepping into a sci-fi movie. Add basketball hoops, air hockey tables, and racing simulators, and suddenly you are eight years old again, except now there are cocktails involved.
Speaking of cocktails, the food and drink menu is as much a headliner as the games. Think gourmet pizzas straight from the oven, truffle fries that demand to be shared (but never are), and pan-seared tofu on Mexican brown rice for the health-conscious who still want to feel fancy. Drinks arrive dressed for drama, infused with herbs, smoke, and theatrics. Even the mocktails are designed to look like they have come straight off a Pinterest board.
