You can always count on Delhi-based style curator, creator and new mama Sanjana Batra to serve aces with her Indian looks—always chic, always statement but never over-the-top.

In her last few Diwali festive posts, creator Sanjana Batra, has worn a floral printed sari, a block printed kurta and a sparkly burgundy anarkali. Batra’s aesthetic spans the gamut from print and colour to metallic tones, but she always nails classic glamour. It’s no wonder that she’s an Indian-wear favourite for both designers and her followers.

Wed Count: “Close to 7-8. My sister Sonali’s included. Weddings were in Delhi, Goa and all over Rajasthan.”

Favourite Designers: Anamika Khanna for contemporary chic finds. Jayanti Reddy for traditional ensembles. Raw Mango for weddings, Diwali parties and everything in between. Anushka Khanna for fun boho fits and Sabyasachi for all things beautiful.”

Recent Highlights: “It would have to be the two looks I wore for my sister Sonali’s wedding last year—a custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla champagne sari with an embroidered pearl and crystal blouse with choker detailing for the sangeet and a Jayanti Reddy sage and ochre zardosi lehenga that I wore for her wedding day! Completely different in mood, but both extremely special.”

Wedding Guest Style: “I always pick comfortable heels and keep my hair slick and pulled back—low-fuss, effortless and works for pretty much every Indian outfit!”

Destination Wedding Hacks: “Carry your own mini steam iron—it’ll save you panic over creases and last-minute outfit fixes. Pack a few in-between looks—you’ll need more of those than you think. From welcome lunches to dance practice hangs, those moments add up fast. And finally, shapewear, stickies and body tape are non-negotiable when it comes to Indian outfits. They’re the real heroes behind every flawlessly draped sari and perfectly fitted lehenga.”

Won’t Leave Home Without: “Lip gloss, my Canon digicam, and a few safety pins—my holy trinity. Don't judge me, but I once carried a toothbrush to fix my flyaways through the night—it worked!”

Where's the next wedding? “Funnily enough, none this year!”
