Fashion at bridal shows tends to skew predictable. But this past weekend at The Wedding Collective, guests treated the event less like a shopping trip and more like an excuse to play dress-up. Between the monogrammed totes and bridal trousseau shopping bags, there were flashes of personality: a pair of iridescent sneakers that caught the light, a ruby-studded ladybug headband (because why not), and, tucked under arms, vintage bags with the kind of patina you can’t buy new. It was street style at its best: personal, a little unserious, and entirely memorable. Below, the details that made us look twice.
Neharika Manjani, brand strategist and content consultant
Cool stack. Who’s your dealer? “This is all from my father, Jai Manjani, who’s a jeweller. He has an unusual set-up—he primarily works through word of mouth and is known for natural diamond jewellery. One’s a tennis bracelet—a classic that everyone should have. I like to add a bit of colour, that’s why these two pieces here—emerald and ruby—that are daintier. And I like doing one statement piece always to bring it all together. I don’t believe in saving fun jewellery for occasions; you should wear what makes you happy every day.”

Rasika Wakalkar, fashion curator and stylist
You look like you’re ready to sprint through an art fair. What’s the fit? “On Cloud sneakers—they’re so comfortable. The pants are from CDC—I love having multiple pockets. My top is almost-vintage Geisha Designs with a Japanese vibe, and the bag is a denim Louis Vuitton I bought in Singapore about 20 years ago. The print isn’t very common now. And this is an Abraham & Thakore kedia that I like wearing as a jacket.”

Kalyani Saha Chawla, entrepreneur
What’s the story behind these chunky bracelets? “They’re silver. I stumbled upon them in a little boutique in Athens while running around the city, and I love them.”

Devika Pathak, content writer and social media manager
Where’s your necklace from? “It’s Zara! I have a knack for picking stuff from Zara that doesn’t look like Zara. My bracelet stack is gifts from people paired with my very old Casio digital watch. I’m carrying a vintage Chanel bag that I got from Vestiaire. I’m a big shopper, so if I find anything second-hand it’s great!”
