This is no ordinary crew. Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin suborbital flight will take his billionaire-to-be bride Lauren Sánchez and her millionaire guests just beyond the Kármán line—the internationally recognised boundary of space.
Among the fliers is a civil rights activist (Amanda Nguyen), a journalist (Gayle King), a pop star (Katy Perry), a film producer (Kerianne Flynn), and an ex-Nasa rocket scientist (Aisha Bowe).
In a first, the crew will be wearing spacesuits specially designed by fashion brand Monse in collaboration with Sánchez, who said they “bring a little spice to space”.
This is also possibly the first time anyone has been to space with their hair and makeup on—another momentous first, I guess...
